Buckland Brewer History Group

A new local history society, the Buckland Brewer History Group, is to due to be launched on 18th September 2013, with an inaugural talk by Janet Few on "Buckland Brewer in the Early 20th Century". The event will be at 7.30 pm in the Church School Room at Buckland Brewer (about 5 miles south of Bideford). >

The aim of the Group is to inspire the community of Buckland Brewer and those with a love of Buckland Brewer, to take pride in and ownership of, their history and heritage in all forms. We hope to provide opportunities for the community to explore the history of our parish through talks, events, exhibitions. outings, workshops, members’ own supported research, and newsletters.  Unless otherwise stated, regular meetings are at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month, in the Parish Church Schoolroom in Buckland Brewer.
